Omega 3s, not from any poor fish
Omega 3 can be a little more difficult for Veggies and Vegans as the highest source is from fish oil. Linseed/flaxseed, and also chia seeds and hemp oil are good sources, for those avoiding fish origins, though the Omega 3 in plants needs some conversion/metabolisation in the body.Enter Algae as a really good source. So I was delighted to be offered this. They are fairly easy to take, with plenty of water to wash the rather large capsule down of course. Dosage is from 1-4 capsules a day. Obviously, if you are already including something like flaxseeds, chia or hemp oil within your diet, sticking to the lower number of capsules would be sensible. In which case, this would be two months supply. These are well packaged, each capsule in its own blister pack

For the pescatarians among you.
I eat fish but not meat nor meat derivatives. I'm also trying to cut out dairy so when I saw these had no pork beef or other meat gelatine I jumped at the opportunity. These are made with just fish and as unlike the others I tried they are not just plant based which means they have good amounts of the healthiest omega. The algae ones are fine but I don't think they have the same proportions these do and anyway as I'm a fish eater they are perfect for me.They are easy to swallow too. As usual for omega capsules they say you need 1 to 4 they won't specify exactly how many. I've settled on 2!

Excellent source of Omega 3 but expensive
Excellent source of Omega 3 suitable for anyone including Vegans . Olio algale translates to Algal oil, a vital source of Omega 3 extracted from micro algae. The importance of Omega 3 in our daily diet is well documented. Good for the heart, eyes and brain. Also contains vitamin E to support the immune function, anti-inflammatory properties and helps promote eye health. These Omega 3 from Omegor are easy to swallow capsules and do not give any nasty after taste. I tested a capsule by chewing through and found it to be slightly fishy in taste, but not a strong fish flavour and the taste did not last long in my mouth.I find the capsule quite fiddly to get out of the blister cells in the foil strips, but they do emerge from their little pockets without damaging them.It is such a shame the price for only 60 of these capsule is just under £21. If taking the maximum dose of 4 capsules per day the pack will only last 15 days taking the monthly cost to £42. This is quite costly and hopefully the price will be reduced over time.

Vegan friendly
Omega 3 can't be manufactured by the body, so we need to get it from food sources. It helps to prevent heart disease, stroke and rheumatoid arthritis to name a few. With my mum being vegan its difficult to consume foods that have omega 3 from nature sources. Seaweed and algae are one of the few plant groups that contain DHA and EPA, making them an important sources of omega-3 for vegetarian / vegans. These capsules make it easier to help you get to your recommended daily intake. The directions are 1 to 4 capsules a day. My mum take 2 day as she does include other foods that have omega-3. Capsules are easy to swallow. Recommend these to any vegetarian / vegans.

Happy to recommend.
I am happy to recommend these Omega 3 capsules to all but particularly to vegans, of course, being of algal origins rather than fish. They are a mite expensive but they are certified to Good Manufacturing Practice which tells us of their quality. The foil blister packs have me worried from time to time as some force is sometimes necessary to liberate the capsules but I have yet to puncture one. And yes, they ARE easy to swallow and no, there is no unpleasant aftertaste. I have been taking Omegas for most of my long life so I'm not holding my breath waiting to experience a super-boost in health but I am enjoying these caps - they are light-coloured and more flexible than others which seems to add to their palatability.
