This was a Christmas gift for my 7.5yo girl. We were surprised to see the age limit saying 15 on the box when it showed up bc several younger kids ride these. I think it might be bc of the speed; we picked this model bc it allowed more weight (and the parents wanted to play too!). She loves the vivid colors and we all picked up riding it within a couple attempts. I have had trouble connecting the bluetooth but haven't downloaded the app onto my phone yet (just trying to connect it to an old iPod for her to ride with music) so that might be the issue. Battery life so far has been great, which could be bc her weight is toward the minimum required to ride. I researched several brands/models of hoverboards before choosing this one and have been very satisfied with the decision. Would def purchase again and def recommend!

Not a fan on how when my daughter is going to fast it just locks the brakes up but other than that it's a great hover board great quality

purchased this as a gift for my young daughter, she used it for about 2 weeks when it stopped charging. Was able to get a replacement since it'd only been a couple weeks. Then, after another few weeks of her using it, same thing...stopped charging. This time however, amazon's washed their hands so I contact the manufacturer. After a month after submitting the trouble ticket not a word... I've updated the ticket now 3 times but still no response. Full disclosure, I purchased 2 at the same time; 1 continues to operate properly. But, 50% does not make it a good product and worst of all, their customer service is horrendous... would not recommend this product.

This hoverboard is the most powerful I've seen. It is capable of moving at over 7mph! It has a definite learning curve and I strongly recommend starting with the "Beginner" setting on the app. I also think a helmet would be a very smart idea, since this is certainly more dangerous than riding a bike or kick scooter.The hoverboard is FAST and it can turn instantly, with just the slightest of movement. The lights, colors, and sounds make it a real head-turner. The Bluetooth speakers make it a convenient way to play music while riding, but I'd be careful with where this feature is used, since it can be a real distraction from everything going on around you.The app is a great added feature, since it tracks your location and drive path via GPS. It also tracks your speed and total distance. It also allows you to customize (or randomize) the LED colors on the hoverboard. I really like that you can adjust the difficulty level using the app, from Beginner, to Intermediate, to Expert. Unfortunately, the app also seems to have some glitches.I experienced an inconsistency between the hoverboard and the app. My hoverboard was showing nearly full battery power, yet the app was showing only 18%. I do not know which reading is correct.I also own a similar hoverboard with a go-kart attachment. I had trouble pairing both devices with the app at the same time. I ultimately used a different device for each Hover-1 product.The battery takes quite a while to charge, but this is the case for virtually all hoverboards. The battery does last quite a while on a single charge.I recommend this hoverboard for children and adults who can use it responsibly. It is a whole lot of fun, but it's also a bit on the adventurous side!

This Hover-1 Hoverboard Electric Scooter is extra powerful compared to another one I got just prior to this one (previous one came with an attachment to convert into a go-cart). I love that you can adjust the levels as needed, because this one can get out from underneath you fast if you're not used to it and need to operate in beginner mode. My kiddos were fighting over taking turns with our other one with the go-cart attachment, so I got this one and purchased another go-cart attachment (different brand) to attach to it to make it also convert into one. We all got too leery about falling off and hurting ourselves on this, so I'm glad that I did. That said, I also like the option of using it by itself and working my way up in the modes - and also for possible later modifications on it after watching some videos on what it can convert to with a little innovation! It's actually a really neat device that can be used in a surprising number of ways!The attachment I used did not affect the functionality of this whatsoever, and it works great! I was worried that it wouldn't work right, but this particular Hoverboard is actually more powerful and even more sensitive and responsive than our other one, so it quickly became the "favorite" one to use. I am a medium sized adult woman, and it had me zooming up inclines on our driveway and quiet street easily with the attachment. It swivels and turns on a dime - and FAST. The bluetooth speakers are a super nice touch to play your music and have fun with it.As with most other Hoverboards, escooters, and other devices - charging can take a while. Once the battery is drained, it can take hours to get it back up to snuff. That said, the run time is decent, and if you're not using it continuously over long periods of time, it is able to handle shorter durations here and there over a period of days without discharging completely.This is a very quiet device (unless you're using the speakers), and even with an attachment, you hardly hear anything at all going over the road. It is rock solid and HEAVY, and I can't emphasize enough the "oomph" and power this thing has, which is pretty amazing. We're all really impressed with it, and it's been a hit with our entire family this summer. It certainly gets two thumbs up from this household!

Don’t buy it , got it the first time and it stopped working after a few weeks , got it replaced and replacement stopped working . Someone I know bought same one and theirs stopped working in a few weeks and replacement stopped working again , Amazon doesn’t want to replacement the second defective device and hoverboard has bad customer service they keep sending us back to Amazon . Catch 22 . You will regret buying it .
