Drill America 3/8" High Speed Steel Black & Gold KFD Split Point Drill Bit (Pack of 6), KFD Series

I purchase several things on Amazon and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Sellers have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

I use a lot of 3/16" bits drilling holes for rivits on my stock car. And honestly, these are probably the best I've used and I've been doing this for a very long time. They cut super quick without binding up and breaking as most do. I do use tap-magic oil and they start sharp and stay sharp. Probably have drilled 50 to 60 holes thru .095" tubing, sheet metal and 3/16" plate and still on the first bit. Will definitely get more of different sizes as needed. Very good product.

Not much more to say other than the quality of these bits is far higher than the price would lead you to believe.The first time I used one I knew I bought the 12 pack for nothing. I've cut at least 40 holes with 1 bit, and it's showing no signs of wear yet.But I'm glad I grabbed the 12 pack anyways. Once people see how nice these are, I'm sure they'll sell out quickly.

Redecking a trailer, you know you’re going to break bits trying to drill around the old self tapping deck screws. Bought a box of 12 bits, and it was enough to drill about 175 pilot holes. They can be brittle, and a pain to remove or to remove when they break off. But for they are, I already ordered another twelve to keep on hand, instead of using my high dollar bits.

Good quality, not cheap. I always buy drill America bits.

Not very sturdy or long lasting. They bend easy.
