Durable, seems well built
Grandson loves this horse and loves to ride on it when he comes to visit. Thought he was going to flip it over at one point as he was at galloping speed (he didn't). Has two volume levels for the sounds and off. Makes galloping, trotting and whiny sounds. Mouth moves when you "feed" it the provided carrot. It can be moved around, not too heavy just awkward. Make sure you slide the provided covers where the springs attach from the frame to the horse (pinch point). A second person to hold the horse would help during frame/spring attachment. Put a non-skid rug or carpet down underneath to prevent "walking" and sliding into expensive lamps or other furniture. Happy riding :)

11 month old loves Rockin Rider Pony
My 11 month grandson loves our Rockin Rider Pony as do the older kids. He gets it scooting across the floor and gives us lots of laughs.

Frame screws break!
The hardware screws provided with this product are inferior and poorly made. The heads of the screws shear off when tightened onto the frame. After two heads sheared off, I went to Lowe's and bought proper, heavy-duty machine bolts. (size: Metric 6-1.00). For the price of the product, I expected a higher quality---especially with the hardware that will bear the tension and weight of the horse and rider. For literally just a few pennies more, they could have made a quality product. Also, the electronic sound portion of the product didn't work. This wasn't a big deal for me as my grandson is quite capable of making enough noise by himself.

Fun! Big toy and seems durable.
Very cute! Toddler loves it. It is pricey, especially when at full price, for a toy but the sale was reasonable. It was disappointing, considering the price, that the batteries were dead on arrival. Fortunately we had extra but that would have been a spoiler if it wasn't working for child.I'm not sure if it's meant to be slightly uneven when the stand meets the floor, but it doesn't affect overall use and actually can add to the galloping sound when used on a hard floor. I also don't remember if this horse was supposed to make carrot eating sounds or not, but it doesn't. The carrot looks like it would be electronic with screws as if you open to install batteries, but it doesn't open when screws are removed. It's sealed together. My biggest recommendation, besides sending separate new batteries to ensure they're working, would be to add an adjustable strap to slide over younger children for added security. So far no spills but I'm looking at the potential especially for younger less stable kids. I would also recommend adding more songs and sounds. I can see the little bit it makes now getting old pretty fast once child learns them. It's pretty big. This is both a pro and con. Con if you're space is limited but a pro in all other ways. Child less likely to quickly outgrow, more of a lifelike feel, holds a good amount of weight. It's definitely one of the better looking horses in this category and the horse itself appears to be made well. Not cheap or junky looking. Soft coat and has a fairly realistic horse face (for a stuffed animal) with gentle appearance. Some others I considered either looked too fake and cheap or had a more serious racing expression. Overall I would recommend this toy but definitely at a big sale price closer to the $100 -$125 price range.

Very child friendly
My great grand baby loves the horse it came with a brush and carrot. She loves brushing the mane and feeding the carrot to the horse.

The electronics doesn't work, and the screw heads snapped off
When we assembled the frame, three of the screw heads just snapped off. I'm a grandmother putting this together and tightening by hand with moderate pressure. Had to make a trip to the hardware store on Christmas Eve to get some screws and nuts. then once I had it all together, I put new alkaline batteries in, and none of the electronic controls work. I checked them several times. I want to exchange this for one that works, but I don't want to disassemble it now, my granddaughter wants it for Christmas tomorrow morning! I would appreciate if the vendor would ship me a new "body" and I will switch it out and return the old one.
