Best German Licorice!
Since I was born and raised in Germany, I grew up with this type of licorice and just love love love them! I keep them at work and at home and they prevent me from snacking on unhealthy candy and other sweets. You have to suck on them for a while, and the flavor and taste is so yummy to me. One of my favorite candy for inbetween.

My husband was happy.
My husband, being Native German, always complained about finding good licorice here in America, I found these for him and he said this has been what he was looking for. I am not a fan of licorice so I am taking his word for it.

Good, strong licorice flavor
Over the years I've been generally pleased with the different varieties of Katjes licorice. The "Katzen Ohren" are no exception. These triangular-shaped, fairly small pieces, designed to look like cat's ears (which is what "Katzen Ohren" means, although the resemblance is minimal), have a strong licorice flavor. There is a hint of salmiak salt, but it is not nearly as overwhelming as it would be in a piece of zout or double zout licorice. They are quite hard but not brittle. It is best to let them sit in the mouth for a few seconds before trying to chew them. For the person whose experience with licorice has been limited to Twizzlers, the Katzen Ohren will take some getting used to. However, for someone already familiar with strong-flavored European licorice, these are a real delight. I would highly recommend them to the experienced licorice connoisseur.

Delicious taste, unforgivingly sticky when chewed
Some of the best tasting licorice I've found. Very strong, sweet, a little salty, just outstanding. A little goes a long way. The downside is that the stuff is sasifyingly chewy but sticks to teeth like crazy. If you can handle that, this is the stuff for you. Otherwise, go with the Katzen Pfotchen, which tastes almost as good but has a softer and less sticky texture.

mmmmmm' Good!
I LOVE drops (black licorice) and have tried quite a few brands from several different countries. These are my go to licorice pieces when spending $ is an issue. They're harder not chewy, triangular pieces. You'll probably want suck on them for a while unless you have very strong teeth. Thirty seconds after popping it into your mouth, theres an explosion of very rich licorice flavour with a hint of salmiak. With quite a few pieces per bag, it seems to last longer. So, if you enjoy rich licorice flavour, please try these. You'll be glad you did.
