Once upon a time, there was a woman who had forgotten how to have fun. One particularly not-fun day, she heard a deep voice coming from her handbag, demanding: "Bring me a task!" At the bottom of her bag was a book, sopping wet from a leaking bottle of hand sanitizer. Curious, the woman read the book. Then something magical happened: she shut her eyes and did Task #1. The woman smiled, laughed, and remembered how to have fun! She engulfed her family and friends in fun tasks, and they all lived happily ever after, even after the zombie apocalypse.

Little Alex Horne has really outdone himself! My husband and I love the show Taskmaster ever since we first saw it we were hooked. You can imagine how excited we were to find out that there was a book. Naturally I reached for my handbag to get payment ready for Amazon. As soon as the book arrived the whole family was engulfed in tasks. So far we have been having so much fun. The way my kids interpret some of the tasks had me sopping wet with tears of laughter! Way to go little Alex Horne you are the best!

An absolutely charming companion piece to the show, and a must-have for anyone wanting to make their own Taskmaster. I was absolutely engulfed in seeing what the task on the next page was. My brain was sopping with my own task ideas afterwards. As an added plus, its small enough to fit into a handbag, so you can bring it along safely to all your nights out on the town. In a pub? At a horse race? Just outside and bored of nature? Lucky for you because you have the Taskmaster book tucked nice and snug in your handbag. Hurray!

I bought this book for my wife and she absolutely loves it. When we started watching the show, she would often say she wished she could also do the tasks and now I’ve made her wish come true. I got lots of good husband points. Here’s a funny story. She had the book in her handbag when we went to eat at an Italian restaurant. When the server brought her plate of spaghetti, he dropped it and the book was engulfed in sauce. The book was sopping wet. We laughed and continued on to task number two hundred and nineteen.

I love the show and when I saw there was a book I needed to have it. I've been surprised at how many times I've been able to pull it out and do a few tasks with friends. While some take a fair amount of effort and planning ahead (and perhaps warning to your friends), there are a lot that can easily be done with no warning and no supplies (or at least, easily obtainable supplies). I'm looking forward to tackling some of the more involved tasks in a sort of taskmaster party!

Funny book

Good book, providing hours of entertainment. I bought it on kindle for instant access. While this means I can always have it nearby in my handbag, it also means I can’t do some of the real book related tasks as I don’t want my kindle to get sopping wet or engulfed in ice.There are options for solo tasks, and different social occasions and lots of scope for invention. It’s not quite the same without little Alex Horne and Greg’s giant scathing face, but it’s a great way to enjoy some home tasking and bring the essence of taskmaster home.

If you like Taskmaster these tasks let you run your own Taskmaster style event at home or with a team as a team building event. Lots of tasks broken down into individual, groups etc so you can easily pick suitable tasks for your needs.

I bought this as a gift for my mom who loves the show. I read some of it and it’s really cute. Obviously there are a lot of tasks to save for post-pandemic times. But that is at no fault of anyone.The best thing was that I did not expect this to arrive from the UK to Canada by Christmas. And yet it did!If you or someone you know is a fan of the show, or likes to play interesting games, this book is a necessity.
