This works great for in-home food storage like rice, flour and sugar. We use it with 5 gallon buckets and like it.

I bought 4 ten-packs of these back in 2015. I always use TWO Oxygen Absorbers in each 5 gallon Mylar bag. I only used about half of them back in December 2015. EVERY Mylar Bag that I have opened in 2018 was still under a vacuum. I pulled the Oxygen Absorbers out immediately each time that I opened another Mylar bag of food, and I laid the Oxygen Absorber packages on a paper plate. EVERY TIME the Oxygen Absorbers began to get hot again... that means only one thing... THERE WAS NO OXYGEN in my food bags, because they still had capacity to absorb more oxygen. I have NEVER been let down by these. And for what it is worth... I first seal of the top edge of my Mylar bags, except the last 4 inches. Then I drop in two oxygen Absorbers. Then I use a 1/4" tubing connected to my vacuum to suck out most of the atmosphere. Then I quickly remove the tube and seal the last 4 inches of the bag. This way, the Oxygen Absorbers don't have to be wasted on extra unnecessary air in the bag. You can be cheap and use only one Oxygen Absorber per Mylar Bag. You can be lazy and not suck out extra atmosphere with a vacuum. But my food is positively being stored in Mylar bags that do not have oxygen in them. Isn't that your goal?

Item came unsealed. If these were working the pkg they came in should be shrink wrap sealed to ensure absorbers are fresh. the oxygen indicator in the bag doesn't tell you what the indicator color means but it came bright pink. not happy. I had these shipped quick for a reason. I need the product in use a.s.a.p.

hint, they come in a pack of 10. Take out what you need after packing bags and then seal up the rest with a foodsaver or mini food saver in one of their bags. Then the rest stay good.

Arrived on time. Did what they were supposed to do. Very happy.
