Ferretlicious
I recommend this product to anybody with ferrets it's a great product it's high in fat high in protein and the ferret seem to like it I've had nine ferrets never had a problem with it my vet actually recommends it to all of his clients with ferrets so I use all Marshalls products usually with my ferrets that's where I get my ferrets so I think they know what they're doing and I've got a great vet he knows what he's doing so I recommend this product it's worth it if you want to have healthy ferrets and do the best for them and I remember I recommend Marshalls to anybody all their products are great

This food is the healthiest to give your ferrets!
I have tried many different kinds of ferret food for my ferrets. I have tried Totally Ferret, and Evo just to name a few, and after it all, I have come back to Marshalls. That is because I know it agrees with their little bellies the best, which allows them to absorb all the needed nutrients from the food. For the most part, you can tell how healthy a ferret is, from what their poop looks like (get used to talking about poop if you're new to ferret ownership!). When their poops look good, (healthy poop is dark brown, firm, formed, and not watery at all), it reflects that their bodies are absorbing all the nutrients from their food.Myself, and my veterinarian, believe that even though this food isn't the cheapest, when compared to some others, it saves you a lot of money in the long run. This is because your ferrets are healthier when they are on this food. When they are healthier, you don't spend as much time at the veterinarians, and we all know how expensive a trip to the veterinarians can be!After 10 years of ferret ownership, and helping to take care of hundreds of ferrets in ferret shelters, Marshalls is still the best food available for them.

Hope this helps
Update: Since I wrote the original review I had the opportunity to speak with the person who runs Marshall Ferret. I asked him to address the ingredient list. He explained the the diet was developed to be healthy for ferrets and items which others make a great deal of noise about are insignificant in their volume but must be listed on the label. They have removed the fish from the ingredient list and as it turns out EVO has had some major problems and recalls. We have switched back to Marshall with no unfortunate side effects. As the fish is gone, so is a great deal of the smell. We still use Bi-Odor in their drinking water and clean their littler boxes a couple time per day. We also provide supplements, FerreTone & Vitamin Chews. All our guys are happy and healthy.Original Review: We started our fuzzbutts on Marshall's becasuse they are Marshall's ferrets, warranty, etc. After some research on the internet we decided to try another brand. Our vet reccomended we try EVO which is a little more expensive but supposed to be healthier for the ferrets (no corn and more protein.) I wouldn't go so far as to say Marshall's is bad since they have been in the ferret business for a long time. The biggest difference for our little guys has been their odors. Two of the first four ingredients for Marshal's are fish. After we switched both the skin and litter box orders pretty much went away. With the Marshal's we always used bi-ordor to help, we no longer have to use it. You should also note that ferrets don't like to try new foods. They become imprented at a fairly young age and a one or two year old usually is not going to accept new food very easily. Change foods by mixing old and new gradually increasing the amount of new. They may....will experience some digestive upset (scour) which will clear up over a few weeks. Our vet reccomends having your ferret eat a couple different foods. we mix a small amount of zupreem with the evo so they are used to both foods in the event we cannot get evo they are adapted to a backup. Hope this helps....

Made such a difference
This food has been a wonderful change in my ferret's diet that I didn't even know he needed. I am a first time ferret owner, who took him in when he needed a home. I was given a half a bag of ferret food when he was dropped off, then was using a much cheaper alternative for a short while until I noticed that my ferret didn't seem to be eating as much.. or if he was he would completely dump his bowl out first, almost like a little temper tantrum (lol). After buying this food (and with a better cost than buying it from my local Walmart) my ferret is very, very happy! He is definitely getting all the proper protein and nutrition now, whereas come to find out the previous brand was almost ALL FILLERS. I will DEFINITELY be continuing on with this brand from here on out.
