This is a great light for tracing and diamond art (which is what I bought it for). With 3 progressive light settings, you can adjust how dim or bright you would like it according to your surroundings.For diamond painting, the led lights are a real asset, making even the darkest symbols extremely more recognisable, even in daylight!Unfortunately, the lamp is not rechargeable but powered via a USB cable. I had mine plugged into a USB charging unit, and while it barely uses any power, I found the cable got in the way of my larger paintings and twice I accidentally knocked my tray containing the beads I was working on, over 😱This is a great light kit and with the adjustable stand, felt bag with zips and carry handles and 4 bulldog clips as part of the package, I think this is extremely good value of you are new to the art or struggling to see the coding, but be aware if your pictures are larger than A4 , you will have to manoeuvre the canvas to light the respective design
