Great idea but they just don't work
We're trying to reduce, reuse, and recycle, especially plastics. These seemed like a great value but I've just tossed two of the bags today. (I hope they're recyclable!) One of the bags just won't close. I'm persistent but after 15 minutes of trying to get the ridges to line up, I simply gave up. This wasn't the first or second or third time I tried. One of the other bags split just under the seal so it's not usable at all. And no, they never went into the dishwasher and I've washed them only by hand.Perhaps there's a similar product that's better designed and made. Choose that option over these.

Do not waste your $$. They work but do not last
We initially were impressed with these, even ordered 2 more 3 packs. Now we are noticing that the zipper is becoming very difficult to close or impossible on some bags and I just noticed one came apart at the seam below the zipper.These are not much more durable than a good freezer zipper bag. I can get almost as many reuses out of those for way less money.Update more failures of zippers this week. Is there a ZERO star rating

Going plastic free
These are a great substitute for throw away plastic bags! They are large enough for freezing meat and I love storing berries and fresh pineapple in the freezer in them for healthy snacks!

I liked them so much, I bought 9 more!
At this point (2020), I do most of my food shopping at Costco for my family of 5. I take the pork chops, chicken fillets, etc. and divid into to meals (ie 5 chops), put them into 1/2 gallon bags and freeze. To reduce my carbon footprint, I often reuse my ziplock bags, but not for meat. I can wash these and reuse! They're not crazy expensive like the St*r largest size, and maybe less durable. Also, they're not dishwasher safe (boo!) It is a bit of a trick to dry after wash. But very few of comparable products come in this size, and quantity (I have to buy a bunch of small ones to get one big one.) Freshmage large bags are a super useful size and I feel better for using them.
