Beware - better value identical item available at 1p more which has batteries included.
Although description informed no batteries included there is an area on card for two batteries. Instructions are on back of package in Chinese and diagrams mainly covered by a bar code sticker which cannot be removed. There is an identical item on Amazon which costs 1p more and includes 2 AAA batteries and English text. Not needed to use yet but I have checked it works - and it is OK.

Be careful!!
This product isn’t the real deal. As I found when the packaging was full of spelling mistakes and grammar that made it very difficult to understand what the instructions actually were I.e for calibration. Made me very weary especially as it is an electric tester!
