Great spinner! No complaints!
I have gone through so many salad spinners, and each one quit working in some way. I wish I had bought this one from the beginning! After a little bit of research, I found out that this is the one America’s Test Kitchen recommends, so I decided to get it after I got rid of my last one.So far I’m really pleased and I’ve used it quite a bit. It seems sturdy and well-made, it spins really fast, and it stays balanced. It doesn’t take long to get to a high speed and then it continues spinning for a long time. It also seems to do a really good job of getting the water out. The gaps are small so that things don’t fall out when you’re spinning but large enough for all of the water to get out.Because of the way it’s designed, after you have finished drying your produce and dumped it out, I would recommend dumping and rinsing or washing it and then spinning it with nothing in it just to get all of the extra water out of the basket grid itself to help it dry more quickly.

Works well, Good control over speed.
Salad spinner works great. Love the brake button option. Use:It has a good amount of speed variation since you control how hard you press, and I usually only have to hit it a few times to get the water off the lettuce. And i can remove the strainer part to pour out water as many times as I want til it's dry enough.Durability:i usually just toss the strainer part in the dishwasher and hand wash the large bowl since it's so large, but it rarely has anything but water so very easy to clean.Size:Can put a good amount of food in here without issue. at least a whole head of romaine. Maybe half an iceberg? Perfect for fruit that needs a wash.

Easy to Use + Huge Capacity = Meal Prep Game Changer
After America's Test Kitchen labeled the OXO salad spinner as the best of its kind some years ago, I added this to my wishlist. I especially love the glass outer bowl, which I have used twice now as the serving dish for my salad. There are plastic components in this, including the spinner dish below the colander. The spinner gets serious momentum, which makes it excellent for both cleaning and drying greens. A 6-quart bowl is quite large: 24 cups, or over 5.5 L, which this last weekend held 3 romaine hearts plus a head of iceberg lettuce. I love how the lock allows you to compress the lid for storage, and also that most components are dishwasher safe. This is making salads more feasible and affordable in my kitchen. Love!

Perfect in every way
I was looking to replace as much plastic as possible. I had a Cuisinart salad spinner that I used for years, but it was all plastic and I could see that the plastic was wearing out. I replaced it with this salad spinner and I could not be happier. I use all the features and I enjoy serving the salad in the glass bowl. We eat a lot of salad at our house. I use it every few days. Yes it is a little bit on the heavy side, but I never feel like it’s going to slip out of my hands and break. The other great thing about this is it fits in my refrigerator with the plunger in the down position. That was an important selling point for me.

Good investment
I have never used a salad spinner and, honestly, never washed my lettuce. I know, it's embarrassing. But, I started to worry about getting sick, especially because I make a large salad and we eat some every day. I researched all of the brands and this one came on top. It does the trick, but you have to pump it REALLY hard and get it going super fast in order get enough force to dry the lettuce. It works. My lettuce is cleaner and my salads even taste better. Good investment. My only complaint is that the little stopper sometimes hits the top when I don't want it to and slows the spinner before it should.

Still works like my vintage one did!
I bought one of these maybe 20 years or more and hadn't used it in a long time. When I recently pulled it out to start using again (not buying any more ready-to-eat-Caesar salad kits in the bags that go bad in 2 days) it really smelled bad. Like a dusty sort of smell. So I bought this new one, which now can be taken apart to wash and dry. I recommend drying by hand, especially if you live in an apartment with poor water quality, which creates water spots. I use the basket to rinse off my chopped Romaine lettuce then give it a good spin, stop, empty out the water, then give it one more spin.It takes up a LOT of room in my refrigerator, so I put leftover salad in a smaller container.

Efficient and effortless
In hindsight, I probably would have ordered the smaller spinner, but since there were only a few dollars difference between the larger and smaller, I went for the larger. And boy, is it large! I bought this spinner on ATK's recommendation. I previously had a crank-style spinner with a bowl that had holes in them, in addition to the inner sieve bowl, that I used for over 20 years. It worked well enough, but demanded strength to turn the crank and sometimes demanded "reloading" the lettuce, like when you reload the washer when it goes out of whack. I was amazed that with a few presses of the pump, it spins and spins and spins. I appreciate that I don't have to use a separate bowl to rinse the lettuces. The inner sieve is very rigid, unlike my old one, which had some flexibility. I appreciate that there is a removable cover under the lid so you can just wash that part, not the whole assembly. My old one would gather gunk on the plastic gears and I had to take it apart to clean it.

Must have for the kitchen
This is a must have for the kitchen. I highly recommend this product. It is very useful for cleaning fruits, even making a salad. All pieces of this salad spinner are very durable, and high quality. I am confident that this item will last for a very long time. We eat a lot of fruit so it has made cleaning and drying fruit very efficient and simple.
