Great Linux compatibility, works flawlessly. For the price, it's a steal.
I had to buy external controller because the one on my mainboard started giving me errors. This little card just does its job flawlessly. Boot settings are done via physical switch - you can select ACPI, IDE or no-boot modes. Installs and boots Ubuntu in ACPI mode without any problems. The only one flaw I'm seeing is the length of its POST (it's a separate screen before mainboard POST). It adds several seconds to the boot process. Otherwise, it's great and BIOS correctly detects boot drives.

Using for TrueNAS Scale VM passthrough. Plug and Play.
Plug and play. Using it with TrueNAS Scale in order to pass through a UHD (Blu-ray) drive to a VM. Seemingly you are unable to pass through a specific drive, only PCI or USB devices. So I got this to pass throug and it worked right away. Can't really comment on performance but it's working for my use (ripping my 4K discs to MKV) at the same speed as my old desktop bare metal.Build quality is fine. It's not going to fall apart in your hands. Questionable heatsink quality / mounting, but it's better than nothing.

Really helped me out.
I bought a new motherboard and after putting it on with ALL my peripherals I found out that a couple of sata ports didn't work. I really didn't want to go through the extra time to take everything off and ship it back just because of 2 sata ports, but I needed those ports. Adding this to the board not only gave me the 2 ports that I needed but and additional 2 ports. Sure save me a lot of time and it works fine.

Good Value.
I have this plugged in to a Z170 motherboard and it seems to work fine. At first my PC thought the drives were removable, but once I discovered the switch to turn off the bootable mode the drives showed up properly. The card runs cool even during extended writes. The only small disappointment I found is that this card is only PCIe 2.0, but what do you want for less that $10. It's only been 1 day so far, If the has any issues I will update this review.

It works well with Samsung 870 EVO SSD
I have a 10-yr. old PowerSpec {C, that only has 2 SATA connectors on the MB, and were both in use (1 HDD & 1 Optical Disc). I did have an open PCIE slot, so I bought this adapter, put it in the slot, bought a SATA cable, and connected it to my Samsung 870 EVO SATA SSD, installed in an open area (with an adapter). The BIOS couldn't see it, so I cloned my C: drive to it with Samsung's Data Migration tool, then unplugged the old HDD SATA cable, and plugged it into the SSD. That made the PC boot from the SSD, and install drivers. After shutting it down again, I plugged my old HDD into this adapter, in the PCIE slot. After2 more boots (to install drivers), everything works. The PC is faster now, and I have gained a lot of disc space. Good stuff!! I also have it and the HDD partitioned now, so I can keep my data on the SSD, too, and use the old HDD for off-line work and extra storage.

No issues
Great so far. Recognized immediately, no drivers needed for my AMD Unraid NAT. Have not run a speed test.

Worked as expected!
Installed this SATA Controller to add 2 SATA ports for my BLU-RAY Recorder along with a DVD-RW Recorder and it worked perfectly. As far as I can tell it works well and is very fast recording. No Extra Bios functions or changes needed. I connected the Controller card and booted into Window 11 and waited for the device to be discovered and configured in the device manager. Once the Controller was identified I powered off the PC and connected the 2 SATA ROM Drives and rebooted. The ROM Drives can be accessed and have now been used to store and write data to DVDs and BLU-Ray Discs. I can also access software that I have available on Discs. The ELUTENG PCIE SATA Expansion Card Works flawlessly on an ASUS PRIME Z790-V WIFI INTEL LGA1700 mainboard with no compatibility issues to report under Windows 11.

It Just Works
Really not much to say. It's a solid feeling little card that added some much needed SATA ports to my motherboard and it was as plug-n-play of an operation as could be. Windows immediately detected the 2 new HDDs as part of my media storage pool and I was off and running. An elegant and satisfying solution. The odd thing that did happen was the connected HDDs showed as removable drives in Windows, and, if this happens, just Google, "How to fix Windows 10 Issue that displays internal SATA connected SSD/HDD as removable YouTube". This should be the top search result and is a great tutorial to fix the issue.
