Got this for the price and recharge feature. Who know it would zap flies and not kill them?? Full charge and ready to kill it did not live up to the hype.I've used the yellow ones before, they kill instantly. This one doesn't do that. I had 2 flies. One was buzzing around. Smacked it with the device, herd the pop of the zap, then went after the other. As the 2nd fly flew back towards the window I noticed that there was another fly.Wait...there were only 2 flies to begin with. I zapped one.So I zap it again, I literally saw it get zapped. It fell to the window sill and then started to fly again.ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!Eventually I smashed both with the side of the device, the zapping merely stuns them for a brief second.Light works, though.Pass on this one, get one that actually kills them.

This holds a charge for a long time which is good because you have to hit a fly two or three times to kill it. One I hit fell dead on its back. No movement. Later, I went to clean it up and it was gone. It works great on fruit flys.

For a couple or weeks or so this swatter dispatched flies with a crisp, authoritative electric snap, but it stopped working after the second or third time I recharged it. Now it won't turn on, so it's devolved into simply an expensive fly swatter with a large paddle face and a short handle. Before it stopped working, I would leave it on and ready-to-zap for hours at a time; it seemed to hold a charge for a long time

Overall product is good, I like the fact that I didn't get 50 million spam emails from the seller to rate the product. That is partially why I decided to review it. I like the design a lot. The fact that it comes with an adhesive holder is nice. The charge doesn't last as long as the other zapper I had but it quickly charges back up. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone battling flies or other similar flying pests.

I'm only writing this after one week, so be sure to take this into account and read other reviews as well; however, this thing seriously zaps mosquitoes (and much more strongly than the previous two I've owned). It has a light on it as well (which I hadn't realized). It works well both to swat mosquitoes out of the air or to place it over the mosquito after it has landed.

I've been using this almost daily. Not only does it look nice, it's pretty great for swatting little insects like mosquitoes etc. You can kill flies with it fairly well but you'll need to hit it pretty hard and at times hover the device over the fly for a few seconds to ensure the kill.

This zapper works well to help rid our home of an unexpected gnat/fruitfly infestation.After a few weeks this zapper stopped working! It can be plugged to charge for several hours and refuse to charge and remains dead!

So far so good. Works well making contact with flies and killing them. A little worried about the sturdiness if I hit a piece of furniture hard. I’ll update my review if that happens and this falls apart.
