Too smoky to be Lapsang souchong
This tea is too smoky and far from smooth. I'm sorry to leave a negative review but as a Chinese native drinking tea for decades, I was really surprised and disappointed by this tea.I tend to get tea supplies when I visit my family there but I haven't gotten a chance to do so recently so I was looking for other ways to get some. The positive reviews led me to my first purchase. While I was glad the food safety was guaranteed by the USDA label, the package sealed well and the shipping was fast, once I opened the package, I knew it's too smoky. Still I wished my proper brew would help achieve the smooth taste I used to enjoy with Lapsang souchong. But no, I couldn't make it no matter how careful I was with the brewing.I'm not sure if I got a bad batch and I really wish I was sipping some smooth black tea from China instead of writing a negative review here.
