The Fish That Flipped Its Way into Our Hearts (and Our Tummy Time Routine)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5 Stars – The Fish That Flipped Its Way into Our Hearts (and Our Tummy Time Routine)If you’re looking for a toy that delivers endless smiles, sensory delight, and the occasional giggle snort from your baby or grandbaby—look no further than the Melissa & Doug Flip Fish Soft Baby Toy. This fin-tastic friend has been part of our floor play lineup for a while now, and let me tell you: it never disappoints.I originally got it for my twin granddaughters, and it became one of our top tummy time MVPs. It’s colorful, crinkly, washable, and makes just enough noise to be fun—not frantic. Here’s why we love it:🐟 Peek-a-boo scales – Each one hides a little surprise underneath, which is baby gold. I don’t know why that’s so thrilling to a 9-month-old, but hey—joy is joy.🐟 Crinkly textures everywhere – Every flip of a fin rewards their little hands with that satisfying crinkle. It’s like bubble wrap for babies.🐟 Mirror, mirror, in the fish – A shatterproof mirror lets them stare at the world’s most fascinating creature: themselves. (And yes, baby selfies have happened.)🐟 Squeaky tail = strong fingers – That tail got squished a hundred times a day during their “what happens if I squeeze this?” phase. Great for fine motor skills and adorable little laughs.🐟 Easy to clean – Washable fabrics that stand up to drool, snack residue, and one unfortunate juice box incident. Still looks good as new. This fish is soft enough to cuddle, exciting enough to explore, and durable enough to go through all the baby stages from drool monster to teething tornado. Plus, it’s just so cute that you don’t even mind stepping on it occasionally.Final verdict:Whether you’re gifting it or keeping it for your own little guppy, this is a toy that truly makes a splash.

Perfect for Babies, But Grows With Them Too!
The Overview:The Melissa & Doug Flip Fish Soft Baby Toy has been a delightful addition to our baby's sensory and tummy time activities. Its design and functionality make it a standout for early childhood play, though its appeal slightly wanes as the baby grows. The Good:Machine Washable: Being able to clean this toy in both the washer and dryer was a significant plus for me. It's crucial for maintaining hygiene when babies are in their exploratory, mouthy stages.Quality and Material: The plush, soft fabric combined with vibrant colors make this toy both inviting and durable. The quality is evident in its construction, ensuring it can withstand the rigors of baby play.Engagement for Infants: My baby was fascinated with the Flip Fish, tapping and interacting with its various textures and tags until around 8-9 months. It was perfect for encouraging tummy time, helping with motor skills, and sensory development.Additional Teething Feature: Even after losing interest in the main toy, the integrated teether remains useful, providing occasional comfort when teething pains strike. The Not-So-Good:Age-Limited Interest: As my child grew past the initial months, the toy's appeal diminished. By 8-9 months, he had moved on to more complex toys, which is a natural progression but does limit the toy's longevity.Overall:The Melissa & Doug Flip Fish is an excellent sensory toy for infants, particularly for those crucial early months. Its cleanability, quality, and engaging design make it a must-have for tummy time. Although its allure fades as babies grow, the teether extends its utility, making it still a handy item to keep around.Pros:Easily cleaned in washer and dryerHigh-quality, plush material with engaging colorsGreat for sensory development and tummy timeIncludes a teether for continued useCons:Interest may wane after the baby reaches 8-9 monthsConclusion:If you're looking for a sensory toy that supports early development while being practical for parents, this Flip Fish from Melissa & Doug is a solid choice. Just be aware that its charm might not last into toddlerhood, but it's certainly worth it for those first months of discovery.

Cute fish, lovely sound and color
I love the colors and all the scales make a crinkly sound my baby loves. The shape of the fish is a little difficult to interact with for a baby under 5 months but they still have fun if the fish is propped up.

Ao many driffent textures!
So many colors, textures and images behind each scale. I think this toy got some kind of reward for being good for baby development. Either way my baby loves this and can play with all day long. Has 2 teether on it, not to heavy and great for play.
