I am really impressed with this carpet cleaner. Not only does it do the job of cleaning, but a lot of reasonable thought has gone into how this is going to be used, and how the end user needs to interact with it.First, assembly is a breeze; I had it up and running 10 minutes after it arrived. You need a Philips head screwdriver for two screws and that's it.Second: it really cleans well. I emptied several tanks of nasty brown water from carpets that looked pretty clean to the eye. The included shampoo has a pleasant odor that dissipates quickly as it dries. The suction is really good, although you will want to take your time and watch whether water is still coming up before you stop, which is easy, because they made the waste water tank clear and gave you a straight shot to see where the water being pulled out of the carpet is coming up into the tank. My low pile wool carpets were dry to the touch 3-4 hours after being cleaned; my deep fiber nylon carpet is taking a bit longer.Third: the entire assembly cleans up really well. Every bit of this device that handles water, especially the waste water, comes apart easily and smoothly so it can be cleaned. I was incredibly impressed. The only wet part you can't get to are the lines that run the cleaner or the rinse water to the head of the vacuum. That should be fine, since they shouldn't be in contact with waste. But the entire suction head of the device lifts away with a single release lever, the waste tank splits in half, with enough access to get to all parts of it, and the filters are all easy access. This is wonderful, because a thorough cleaning and drying after use is how you prevent mildew, which is the bane of any cleaning device that uses water.It is not a light piece of equipment, but that is actually a good thing. The head stays down no matter how far away from yourself you push it, which is good when you are trying to reach a place but you don't want to step in the wet carpet you just shampooed. I had the best of intentions of planning out my cleaning pattern, but inevitably there was a bit that go left out, or needed another run to help dry it, and it is nice that the weight of the head stays down so that it maintains suction at all times. It is also pretty big -- it is bigger than any other cleaning device in my home. If you live in a small apartment, say with just one closet to store your regular vacuum cleaner, mop, and other things, this beast is going to evict everything else. And you can't let that happen -- you do need to vacuum your carpets before you use this guy -- it uses very narrow suction to get the water back out of your carpet, so if you have long pet hair, long human hair, heavy dirt, or similar, it could clog it up. While it does clean out nicely, its going to be a long day if you have to stop every 5 minutes to remove a wet lump of afghan hound hair.And a final tip: when you go to remove the tanks, or when you are starting to clean it so you can put it away, I recommend moving to a hard surface, like kitchen tile. It uses water, it is going to leak some of that water when you take it apart. The waste water tank doesn't leak, but there is likely to be a little bit of dirty water that comes back out of the nozzle. And there is going to be a little clean water where the clean water tank sits. I found I could handle everything with just one-half of a paper towel, so it is pretty minor. But better and easier on tile than on your freshly cleaned carpet.

I was on the fence ordering this when I saw it on sale on Amazon. So glad I bought it. I definitely did about six hours of work on two areas. One was an 8 x 6 rug. The other was the main bedroom. Both I used at least Two clean buckets of water for each wash and rinse rounds. I did three of each in each room. So as long as you don’t mind emptying the dirty water bucket and refilling it, this is ideal. The dog smell is finally out of my room. I never got the water actually clean after rinsing. It lightened up some, but nowhere close to clear in the dirty bucket. I just pooped out and my wrist hurt after 6 hours. I wouldn’t have preferred having someone do it for more than what this machine cost. Be sure to buy extra cleaner because the one tiny thing they send with the machine was only enough to clean the carpets one round on one area. So I had to go to the store and buy a bigger one. I ended up getting diesel cleaner the second time. Honestly can’t tell you which one seemed to do a better job. I did use the pet version, but the smell was not exactly fresh. It was deodorized though. I believe next time I’ll try something with OxyClean. Be sure to watch the levels of soap or water. If you are out of either, it does not do the job correctly. It was easy to grasp how to hold the button to add soap and water each time. Very happy with my purchase

Okay, so I’m a NEAT freak who enjoys cleaning. I’ve got the Dyson vacuum, got a steamer for my cork floors and the TikTok viral spinning mop thing w/ separate clean and dirty water compartment. But nothing has been able to get the stains off my rugs!I own 3 pets, 2 dogs and a cat. Dogs are doodles, no shedding, cat sheds a bit. But over the years my older pup has mistaken the rug as a pee pad and we’ve done our best to upkeep and maintain stains and smell.Lo and behold, parents are out of town for 3 weeks and I find myself with 9 animals. 4 dogs and 5 cats. It’s a zoo. Yes, I know. Thank god I don’t have kids, to add to this mix.A plumber came over and complimented how my house didn’t stink. Thanks to my amazing air purifier from Coway. I accidentally unplugged it cleaning, and forgot to plug it back in. Weather is getting hotter.. so I leave to gym and come home, BAM!Got hit with the strongest dog smell, urine, cat litter and animal house smell. I gagged. From the runner to my guest room, it all smelled. I couldn’t take it anymore.Did my research and Hoover came in #1. Price isn’t bad at all, considering I got quoted $1000 to have a professional clean my 7 rugs. Ordered it last night in bed and got it at my door TODAY before 3p.Started cleaning rug 1, my gawd! It’s so gross but so so so satisfying to see the amount of gunk that this thing sucks out. It’s 10pm, I just finished 5 rugs and my house looks entirely different.There’s a really big rug in my bedroom that’s never been cleaned. The amount of crap this Hoover baby got out was amazing!Cleaning and sucking out dirt and god knows what, 1000000%.Now, it also dries well. Usually carpets are damp for a good 24-48 hours, and it starts to smell… this soaks the entire rug and leaves it maybe 5% dampness from the 80% soak from shampoo function. Fine by me! If you’re gonna do it at home and have cork floors like mine, just do it during the day so it has time to dry with the sun. Shouldn’t take more than a few hours tops.It’s the best thing I’ve ever invested in and just the most satisfying chore, I can’t believe I didn’t invest in this sooner. I already have friends asking to borrow it. It’s on par to a rental you get at Vons, except it’s yours!Sure you have to fill the water a bunch of times and dump the dirty water, so what? Are people that lazy they’re going to take a star away just because they can’t run back and forth a dozen times? Cmon..I haven’t done anything else it can do outside of carpets, I’m exhausted today. But you bet I’m going after my furniture next!Moral of the story is — BUY IT! It’s not just hot girl summer but clean girl summer baby.
