I purchased this thermometer based on other reviews. Fortunately, I was not mislead. If all you need is a basic, quick and accurate thermometer, then I would recommend this selection. I just needed a simple thermometer that is easy to use and read! This fits the bill!

My little girl had a high fever, but it didn't come up as very high on the thermometer.Just to test it, I used it on myself, my son, and my girlfriend. All came out to about 94 to 96 degrees rather than the typical 98.6, and no, we aren't a race of lizard people.Got another thermometer, and it turns out we don't have icy hearts that are chilling our body; sadly, it is just that this thermometer sucks. And yes, my daughter has a fever, but don't fret, my dead-cold hugs will bring her back down to normal.

What a joke. I cannot truest any of the reviews for this product. They must all be fake. Once again I was fooled by the fake reviews. I have never found any electronic thermometer that reads accurately, and this one is NO exception. With an accurate mercury thermometer, my temperature reads 98.6F. With this one it read 97.5F. The worst thing our country ever did was to outlaw the mercury thermometers, so now I have to buy them from China or India at an inflated price.

I bought this because my easy read forhead thermometers were inaccurate and I wanted to have something more reliable. The noise from it was a mellow tone, which I would find nice in the middle of the night when checking the baby's temperature. It was simple to use and there was no setting involved. The tip is flexible which is nice for more accurate read and when put in children's mouth. I would buy this product again.

This is, hands down, the worst thermometer I've ever owned. The beeps are so low you can't hear them (I have great hearing), and the thermometer is wildly inaccurate. I've gotten 90.1, 106.5 and more all within moments of use. Even if you "calibrate" it-which, btw, the directions don't mention--it still doesn't work.The only reason I'm not returning it for a refund is, I'd have to pay for shipping and it's simply not worth it for me to get something like $5. This is going in the trash.

I have the expensive thermometer that you run across the forehead but wanted something smaller that would be reliable to have as backup. This one does the job perfect. It matches very closely in reading to my more expensive one. It is easy to use, has a clear display and is excellent for the price. A good basic thermometer at a very reasonable price! And it will be great to through in the makeup bag when traveling.

Maybe it is my old ears, but I wait for the beeping to tell me the reading is finished and I find that the beeping is much too low and I really have to pay attention and have it real quiet so I could hear it.....Is that the way it is suppose to be?

Was off by 1.3 degrees which is significant enough to make wrong health decisions. I now have a sinus infection and had to go to the doctor (Which is how I know the reading is inaccurate) when I should have just taken a day off last week.
