Most U.S. standard threads to my knowledge are slightly tapered so as to have a 'snug' fit. These are nice and they have a straight thread.When putting together with a nipple mine bottomed out. I had a weeping leak and had to re-do this with better packing pipe putty than justt-tape - just so you know. ( made in China)

Entirely Stainless - Live in Florida and the valve is outside. The old valve was a gate valve the internal thread snapped and the gate fell to the closed position the old one was not properly "exercised" through the years- and gate valves are horrible valves for this application- This was a new house to me. All valves in your home should be opened and closed from time to time because they get lime, rust and calcium build up. Anyway, This is an American made high quality valve and for the money was awesome. I re-plumbled the copper and plastic involved coming out of the ground. DON"T PAINT IT. This is a heavy duty valve and will outlast your house and in an emergency you can instantly shut your water off.

ordered six of these, and received 2 very different size valves, none of which were WOG200. [see photo]they were all WOG1000 and [perhaps because of the much higher pressure rating] the handles were very, very difficult to turnthe body npt threads were very poorly cut, engaging only 1 or 2 threads before binding [the other end was fine]swarf/metal from cutting the body thread had not been fully removed and was clearly visible-- embedded in the seal. This appears to have resulted in scoring the ball surface with lines deep enough to feel [see photo]pure junk from Duda

Valve appears fine as far as opening/closing. The threads are so rough I could not get them to seal. I used a brass reduced (1 x 3/4) and teflon tape. Tightened the reducers very tight. Could never stop the drip leak. I threw it in the trash and purchased another valve.

Very high quality, works great. Note this is stainless, so there is a special type of plumbers tape with PTFE in 4.3 mil thickness made by Gasoila made for stainless to stainless fittings to prevent binding. I have a Flextron RTGC-YC-34-36P flexible stainless hose connected to this and use it for the gas input into a tankless water heater.

This was one of the more reasonably priced Stainless Steel ball valves rated for use with oil. Should work good as a drain for a used oil tank. If I were getting one for a fuel barrel, I'd probably get one that locks. Figuring no one was going to run off with used oil (and if they do they can have it) I figured why spend more than I have to. Action is smooth, with no leaks after having it a month or so.

This valve seems to be of as high of initial quality of any I have installed. I am going to Stainless over Brass, because Brass valves get 'sticky' and difficult to operate if used infrequently, although I am seeing more valves with a brass body, and a stainless ball inside, which should work well, also.The threads are precise, and it seals 100% at municipal water pressures.

It is a valve and seems to work as advertised after two months of use.--no leaks so far--I would recommend this valve and would buy it again if/when I need another.Thanks for a good valve
