The sheet metal it's made of is a little light. More use will tell the story. It is very tight in clamping down which will help it from getting hot. Also it should have a clamp to hold the cable. Only thing that holds it is the bolt. Every time you use it, moving it around it's bending the cable at the fitting. I

This is really a light duty clamp. I wouldn't run it on a 200 amp welder, much less a 300A that it's advertised as.

Great welding clamp replacement. At first it feelt cheap because it's thin metal but it clamps good and provides a good connection. The actual copper part that touches the welding piece is good quality which is what's important.

I should have believed the reviews. This thing is much dinkier than I could have imagined. I believe you could probably put some screws into a clothes pin and get about the same clamping force. The ground strap from the one side to the other is almost paper thin and I'm pretty sure it's aluminum that is copper coated. It is also just barely held in. I can see it snapping off sooner than later. The size of the bolt to hold the wire was so small that I didn't have a ring terminal small enough to fit it that would also fit onto my wire. And believe me, I have a lot of ring terminals to pick from. So, I had to drill the hole out larger (to 1/4" which was as large as would fit) and use my own bolt. This will get me by, but I'll be replacing it very soon. I should have checked Harbor Freight first, they have a duplicate of this for 8 bucks. For the price of this one though, you can get the "400 amp" clamp that they have that actually looks like it could handle it.

Good solid clamp for the price

I disliked that I was sent a ground clamp that was meant for a 150 amp welder. Now I have to drive to the next city just to return it to a UPS store so that someday I may get a refund! Shame on this seller RebootUSA for switching clamps to a much cheaper one with less quality parts (copper). Sell what is pictured! Don't downgrade!

Issues connecting to existing cable - bit lightweight

Don't waist your money it's like a kids toy, laughable 300 amps I think that should be 30 Amps.

DONT BUY THIS- it’s a Peice of garbage, it moves around, sparks sometimes. Melted out the copper braid IN between jaws, it’s thin and light duty. Definitely go buy from a well known brand for the extra few bucks. This lasted approximately 3hours and my Lincoln 300a ground is still going strong.its honestly a health hazard and would not recommend to anyone. DO NOT BUY!!
