If you aren't already familiar with the Detroit brand for bearings and gears I recommend you research and see for yourself. My bearing assemblies were an exact fit and from the beginning feels and appears way more durable then the oem part itself. (Oem= original equipment manufacturer) for those who don't know what it stands for. Such a smooth ride now no rotational or stationary noises at all. I would recommend this and other products they offer in a heartbeat. Not to mention in the event of any issues, between Amazon and Detroit which is U.S. located on 8 mile in Detroit you will never be left feeling like you can't get the job done. Great value! I was skeptical to purchase these because of some negative reviews saying they failed after a short time. I’m glad I did, the quality is excellent and after about 3,000 miles I’ve had no trouble. I had to really pound on the old wheel bearing with a 3lb hammer and spray a lot of penetrating oil to get them off. To avoid premature failure of the new bearing ; Remember not to loosen the wheel 32mm center nut until the Vehicle is up off the ground and the weight of the vehicle is not on it. Also make sure to tighten the center wheel nut prior to lowering the car. A final center nut torque check (185’ lbs) can be done with vehicle on ground. The three 15mm bolts that attaches the wheel bearing require 90-95’ lbs torque. Brake Caliper mounting bracket bolts require 125’ lbs of torque. Make sure your torque spec is correct these are safety critical.

I bought this to replace a front hub assembly on a 2007 Mountainer. It went on easy and was an exact fit for the OEM part at less than half the cost of one at a local chain auto parts store. Time will tell if I ever need to replace, but it looks to be well made. I only gave 4 stars since the new electrical cord is several inches longer than the OEM and I had to tie it off to keep it from getting somewhere it shouldn't. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.

My wife's '07 Mountaineer was making some loud noises from the "front" area of the car - not grinding but kind of a whine like an aircraft engine noise that would get louder based on speed. Took a chance on a diagnosis that the wheel bearings were failing and bought these to replace the old ones. Getting the new ones on was very easy and corrected the noises. The difficult part is getting the old ones off as they have been on the car for 160k miles. Had to persuade them with a hammer. Feels great to fix what could have been an expensive repair yourself and save some money in the process!

Ive went through 2 sets, called for a warranty replacement on the last set cause i was fed up and they want to charge $35 to ship it 5 miles. Better off just putting that 35 towards a brand that wont fail once a year.
