Street Cat Bob it's a Sunday!
This is the Harry Potter version of A Street Cat Named Bob! I'm talking about the cover, the style as well as visual font of the writing, organization of writing and the fact there is a sketch with every chapter(although in this case at the end of each one). The sketches are very good.My first Street Cat Bob book was My Name is Bob and I got two more as gifts for people. I hadn't yet read A Street Cat Named Bob,as recommended by my mother who has a very sweet spot for buskers. "There but for the grace of God go You," she says.My Name is Bob is very cute and then I read A Street Cat Named Bob straightaway. I finally got The World According to Bob on my Kindle and that is a grittier, more real-life account but completely engaging. I only finished For the Love of Bob yesterday.I've had two orange cats growing up. So Bob gets right to me for more reasons than one. I am now surrounded with Bob booksin my room. And James Bowen is very sweet but cool at the same time. The moral compass on him is divine. He must have beenwell raised, had good friends and jobs growing up(or Something!) but he's a complete angel. Some younger women in NYC think they can't have a cat or a man won't marry them but here he is: the man with a cat.Not that they can all marry him but it's a trend, guys!Update: 2-3-17 I believe they have since stopped doing this. Thank you, Amazon!"I'd noticed that Amazon to my chagrin, has been emailing people every day saying, "You read this book. What do you think of it?"And all sorts of people write in two-line off the cuff reviews. "Loved it better than the movie!" "Hated it! Movie is better."And I wanted to write a review of a book I really think is good and that I'm moved to write about as in the old days when we had scholarly reviewers and people took some time with these things. Hello Amazon. I'm talking you. Maybe if these emails didn't come so often to everybody I wouldn't look up reviews, with serious intent, on this book or that and have to wade knee deep through asea of knee-jerk book reviews. That's not helping improve the Amazon experience. Sorry for this rant."I do believe in reviewing vendors because I think it helps small businesses. Mailing is a lot of work and I believe we should applaud a job well done. But review every single book you've bought let alone read? Hear me O Amazon.(Update: They heard us! Thanks, again Amazon.)Anyway this book has a surprise ending! Before the end I had started writing a song about Street Cat Bob. I'm still finishing it but eventually would love to get it online or send it to James and Bob's publisher.

Love Bob and James
As I write this it is a month since Bob’s sad passing. I had watched the Zoom live with James and Bob just two weeks before and follow them on Facebook. I had seen the movie and was so moved by their story of redemption. My own dear cat of 15 years died on my arms in 2013 sending me to a therapist to regain my bearings without him. The best medicine was taking in a new kitty that had belonged to my late daughter who has filled that kitty sized hole in my heart. I grieve with James and I’m so happy he has his little Bandit and Gismo to help him heal. In the past month, being in lockdown with Covid 19, I have had time to read and so I am working my way through James’s books. I look forward to following James as he forward without Bob but happily with Monica and all their feline companions. I highly recommended all the Bob books, particularly at a time when we need a good story full of hope and transformation.

Great book
wonderful read for younger ppl who are not yet ready for the realities of life. harsh details of homelessness and drug addiction are toned down while still giving the reader the story of how this furry angel on earth saved a soul.

Inspiring
I chose this rating because I learned the bond between an animal and a human touches each of them. It is one more example of ...just plain "love", loving someone or something, showing that you each are loyal to their welfare.

Good book, but repetition of Bowen's older books.
This book is interesting to read, but if you've read "A Street Cat Named Bob" and "The World Accordng to Bob," this book is mostly repetition, like a synopsis of those two books, also about Bob the Cat and by James Bowen. However, I must say that the story of James Bowen and his cat and best friend Bob is intriguing. As a cat lover with 13 cats of my own, I can believe that a cat can turn someone's life around, maybe even save their life, as Bob did.

Sweet Story!
This is such a touching and inspirational story of a young man and a stray cat finding strength, love and acceptance of each other and life on the streets of London. I highly recommend all of "The Bob" books - fantastic and moving reads!

An amazing story of hope
I read the first book a while ago and shed a few tears. It opened my eyes to the difficulties and despair of those with problems we can't understand. I recently saw the film which was one of the most touching I have seen. Consequently I bought For the love of Bob which carried the honesty of the situation James was coping with. I will always in future buy a copy of the magazine. If these stories give a ray of hope for only A few the stories need to be written

Bobs Eulogy
My wife Sarah and I loved all James' books and were truly absorbed in the remarkable relationship which Bob and James enjoyed. Now that Bob is no longer with James in person we have read the books once more and will always think of what he achieved in saving James who now has all his specialmemories to share with his new partner in life. God bless Bob.

WONDERFUL BOOK!
Once again, another fabulous Bob book, this one especially adapted for children from The World According to Bob. Every child in every school should read the story of James and Bob - their journey from despair on the streets to finding hope and a place in society again will give youngsters a good insight into how it's always possible to turn your life around as well as showing them about the joys of having an animal to love. They don't come much better than this.

Bob and James
What a heart strings pulling story. Didn't want to put it down once I started reading it, so I read it in one sitting. I am not really a cat lover but Bob is an extraordinary "person" cat and clearly loves James as much as James loves him. I wish them both all the luck in the world and look forward to reading more of their adventures in the future.

Never Can Get Enough of Bob!
The story is a "how this person/cat saved my life story," but is told in such an entertaining way, you tend to forget that this book is merely an extended version of a story to be found in a Streetcat Named Bob.This book, as with the Love of Bob and Bob: No Ordinary Cat, is most likely best enjoyed by younger readers (from 11 years up), but even adults will enjoy it as well.
