If you want a fun 'Day in the life' book, GET THIS ONE
Adam Ellis takes the reader on a fun ride via a series of incidents in his life. Things like The Chocolate Milk Incident (a lesson on morality...I think), World's Best Boss, Four Days Pretending to Be a Rabbit and Call of the Wild, all of them told in Adam's quirky yet delightfully appealing style. These are just a few of the adventures described in the book, the ones that appealed to me personally, but I'm sure just about anyone will find something in these pages that will make them chuckle. Good stuff.

This guy has potential!
I've followed Adam's stories when the online add-on stumbleupon was a thing and actually stumbled upon his online blog one day. I've been a fan of his unique art style, and relatable stories ever since. When he came out with his first book I wanted to buy it, but for some reason didn't until about a month ago. I finally bought it, and it quickly reminded me of his old blog, which I enjoyed back in college. His art style has changed over the years, but I enjoy this style more. I recommend this book for anyone that is in need a quick laugh at someone's peculiar life.

A quick and fun read from wickedly funny author
I have been reading the Books of Adam blog for some time now. I appreciate the humorous tone and light-hearted and creative illustrations(even if the way Ellis illustrates teeth creep me out a little). I think one of the things I enjoy most about this book is that the writing and illustrations blend seamlessly together into a cohesive and often times deeply funny narrative.I also appreciate that the book has its serious moments, but one thing I do have knock on a little is that serious matters are often always deflected with humor which something the author concedes he does frequently. I can appreciate that, but there were several moments where I thought the humor wasn't simply needed to make the point stand, and perhaps, the point may have stood more elegantly without the joke. Overall, I think Ellis offers some valuable insights through his own (often hilariously told) experiences that make this book a real treat despite maybe what is a little too much humor in the serious place. There is a little retreading of material from his blog, but I think it helps unify the book in a lot of ways that makes the book as a whole make sense(which works well for people who haven't read the blog at all). This has been one of the highlights of my summer reading thus far, and it is definitely a book I could see myself picking up from time to time to revisit one of the funnier portions. I will definitely pick up a second one if it comes out.

Great book, just wish there was more of it
Adam Ellis is by far my favorite blogger. His stories are always light-hearted and relatable, and his illustrations cinch it all together. His book doesn't disappoint as he delivers funny and entertaining stories about his struggles to become a functioning adult after college. In Portland, no less. Two qualms, however: 1) I recognized some of the stories from his blog. I wouldn't say it was too many that I had already read, but there are a few. 2) It's deceptively thick (that's what she said). All jokes aside, the pages are pretty thick and the font is pretty large (not to mention his illustrations also take up quite a bit of room, too) and I breezed through this book in no time. I wish there were more chapters, and I wish it didn't take me all of an hour to read the book. It's definitely something I'll probably read again at some point down the road, but unless his next book contains 100% new material and doesn't try so hard to be deceptively large, I'll probably just borrow his next one from a friend. (sorry, Adam. It pains me to say that)

Funny! But...
I love Adam Ellis. I think he's hillarious. I bought this book the moment pre-order was opened. The moment I got it, I spent a night up finishing the book I was reading then just to be able to get to reading The Blunder Years.I was not disappointed! In fact, There were a few spots where I actually started laughing on the bus, and my brother and I really enjoyed quoting it for a few weeks to come (My favorite story being the story of the GURD). The illustrations are hilarious as you'd expect and just add a lot to the story, but thankfully the book can also stand on its own even without the illustrations. So why 4 stars? Well, I couldn't help but feel that it was missing something. Maybe it as too short, maybe the inculsion of before-seen strips from the website...Overall it was a great read. I only wish it felt more... whole.

LOVE his drawings
This guy is hilarious. I've been following his blog and his drawing style is right up there with the best of the best: The Oatmeal, Hyperbole & a Half, etc. I was wishing this book had even *more* drawings because I love them so much. His stories are so easy to relate to and he often ties them up with a nice little life lesson, David Sedaris style. You walk away from the story with more than just happy lungs from laughing. My favorite part of the book is airport bingo, I DIED laughing. (Please make this a real thing!!)There were some stories from the blog that I was hoping would be in here but are not, hopefully there will be another book.

An insightful and funny young man!
I was pleasantly surprised at the sweet-but-tangy wit, the astonishingly well-crafted illustrations, and the strong storyline in this first book of Adam Ellis's. I am hoping for a second book, and a third, and a franchise, eventually--it's that good. How can I convince others to buy Adam's book? Well, the artwork is hilarious, finely drawn, and abundant. There's that. And Adam never feels sorry for himself or whines about The Unfairness Of It All; he just keeps making his life happen. So there's that, too. It's just an excellent, fast, and oddly uplifting read, and you should listen to me and purchase many copies for yourself and your friends! I am reading it for a second time and still snerking at a bunch of wicked, sneaky stuff I missed on the first go-around. MAY YOUR EYEBROWS NEVER GROW TOGETHER, ADAM ELLIS!

Great read.
Bought this out of curiosity after purchasing Super Chill. Carries the same humour with nice little stories of his past. Even if you aren't interested in him, it's worth a read. I found it very relatable!

Torn
Ive been reading Adams blog for a few years so the announcement that he had a book out was great news and I immediately snapped it up. The blog always left me chuckling, so I expected the same, if not greater in this book. The drawings are great as usual but the stories barely entertained. There were maybe 2 in the whole book that got a laugh out of me, the one because I'm an art student and could relate to the story of him not understanding peoples projects in his art class. The drawings make things funnier, but I think he could have used better stories in this.A bit disappointing, but I do love his drawing style.

Exceeded my expectations!
Amazing book, Adam never ceases to amaze. He did include quite a few stories from his free blog, but to see them on paper and to see the new stories on PAPER, in an actual Book of Adam was awesome. Adam Ellis is funny, witty, relatable and overall just a wacky sort of guy who could just as easily be living across the hall.I've been a follower of the blog for a long time now and I loved the book.5 Stars, Adam, keep it up :D

Excelent book about starting a new "adult" life after graduation
Adam Ellis, author of the blog "Books of Adam" [....]give us a look into his entrance into "adult" life after graduating from Art School. The guy is so funny and the illustrations are very good. I thought I was going to miss the moving images I'm used to in his blog, but he did a good job giving very living illustrations. Kudos to the author and I'm hoping to see more of his books in the future.
